Swansea University Students’ Union - Varsity Events – Terms & Conditions

1. Ticket Purchase Agreement

By purchasing a ticket or Varsity Package for any Varsity-related event organised or promoted by Swansea University Students’ Union, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions.

2. Ticket Availability

All Varsity tickets and packages are subject to availability and are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Swansea University Students’ Union does not guarantee availability once tickets are released.

3. Varsity Package Inclusions

Varsity Packages may include access to Varsity fixtures, transport, afterparty entry, supporter tickets, and promotional items. Inclusions are subject to change and availability. Promotional items are limited and not guaranteed if stock runs out.

4. Payment Scheme Option

Where available, a payment scheme option allows ticket holders to pay in instalments. By selecting this option, you agree to the payment terms and schedule displayed at the time of purchase.

5. Payment Schedule

Failure to make payments in line with the agreed schedule may result in cancellation of the ticket or package without refund, and access to Varsity events may be denied.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

All Varsity tickets and packages are non-refundable, including those purchased via a payment scheme. If you choose not to attend, no refunds or credits will be issued.

7. Ticket Transferability

Varsity tickets and packages are non-transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise. Tickets are valid only for the individual whose name appears on the booking.

8. Event Entry and Identification

To gain entry to Varsity events, transport, fixtures, or afterparties, attendees must present:

A valid ticket or wristband
Valid photographic ID that matches the ticket holder’s name

Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry without refund.

9. Transport Terms

Varsity transport is provided exclusively for ticket holders. Attendees must follow instructions from staff and drivers at all times. Failure to behave appropriately may result in removal from transport without refund.

10. Entry Restrictions

The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who:

Does not hold a valid ticket or ID
Is intoxicated or behaving in a disruptive, unsafe, or antisocial manner
Breaches venue rules, transport rules, or the event code of conduct
No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.

11. Event Changes

Swansea University Students’ Union reserves the right to amend Varsity fixtures, schedules, venues, transport arrangements, or associated events where necessary. Such changes do not entitle ticket holders to a refund.

12. Liability

Attendance at Varsity events is at your own risk. Swansea University Students’ Union, partner venues, transport providers, and sponsors accept no responsibility for loss, injury, or damage to personal property unless caused by negligence.

13. Code of Conduct

All attendees are expected to act respectfully and responsibly. Harassment, discrimination, violence, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in ejection, banning orders, or referral to the University or police.

14. Alcohol and Drugs Policy

Varsity events operate under a Zero Tolerance drugs policy. Random searches may be carried out as a condition of entry. Failure to comply may result in refusal of entry or removal without refund.

15. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing a Varsity ticket or package, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Students’ Union Venues – Additional Conditions

Challenge 25

Swansea University Students’ Union operates a Challenge 25 policy. Valid photographic ID may be required to purchase alcohol or gain entry to age-restricted events.

Responsible Behaviour

Attendees must behave responsibly while attending Varsity events and when leaving venues or transport, respecting staff, other attendees, and local residents.

Responsible Drinking

Swansea University Students’ Union encourages responsible drinking. Please know your limits and look after one another.

Compliance with Venue Rules

All venue-specific rules must be followed at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal without refund.
